At the turn of the century, China developed a new hobby: travelling. The only problem is, the world doesn’t really know how to speak Mandarin. And English is out-of-reach for many Chinese.
Seeing that Google Translate is one of the rare Google product that is allowed to operate in China, we saw a crucial window for us to be helpful to the people of China, in our usual Googl-y way.

Leading the flock is Zhu Ting, a Olympic gold medal winner for China’s Volleyball team, who happened to be a big fan of Google Translate as she competes abraod.
We chose travel problems that will be unique to Chinese travellers and even show domestic application. These series of social videos collectively propelled us to the #1 preferred translation app in China.
